JUNIOR SUMMER FUTSAL TRAINING PROGRAM The Strikers Futsal Club this summer will be offering a training program for interested teams or individual players. These training sessions will run every Saturday and will aim to improve the tactical, technical and fitness aspects of a Futsal player. INFORMATION ON 2010 WINTER JUNIOR FUTSAL FINALS The St Albans Strikers Fustal Club is pleased to announce that the 2010 Winter Junior Futsal Finals will commence on Friday the 10th of September. In a brand new format, a quarter final, semi-final and grand final knockout system will be introduced for what is being called the PREMIERSHIP CUP. U'15 STRIKERS REPORT - VIC CLUB FUTSAL C'SHIPS Joe Bontorno's young charges have had another successful Victorian Club Futsal Championships, this time picking up third place. The squad had a great start defeating the Victorian Lions 7:1, however then they let each other down in the next match by losing to the Macedon Ranges 4:5. U'14 STRIKERS REPORT - VIC CLUB FUTSAL CHAMPIONS 2010 The U'14 Strikers have emphatically swept aside all teams to easily win the Victorian Club Futsal Championships. Clearly the best side in the competition, the boys dominated teams in all facets of play. The first match was all about getting the cobwebs out of the system, relying on a late goal to beat a plucky AFG by two goals to one. U'13 - 1 STRIKERS REPORT: VIC CLUB FUTSAL C'SHIPS The U'13 Strikers thoroughly enjoyed their participation in the Victorian Club Futsal Championships. Coming up against some very tough opposition the boys fought hard in every match. In the first match they battled hard to draw 3:3 with Whitehorse Futsal, with coach Joe Bontorno ruing the many missed scoring chances and what could have been. U'12 - 3 STRIKERS REPORT - VIC CLUB FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIPS The Strikers U'12 - 3 team put up a credible performance at the Victorian Club Futsal Championships. Playing together for the first time the boys did well to put it up to the eventual winners Ballarat in the first game going down by eight goals to four. U'12 - 2 STRIKERS REPORT - VIC CLUB FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIPS The U'12 - 2 Strikers team has finished 3rd at the recent Victorian Club Futsal Championships in Bendigo. The Strikers started the competition with a hammering of the ABSA 8:1 and then followed that up with a 6:2 win over Macedon Ranges. U'11 STRIKERS - 1 REPORT - VIC CLUB FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIPS The U'11 1 Strikers team ended their Victorian Club Futsal Championships with a third place finish, losing to the EFA by 4 goals to one in a tense semi-final. Going into the tournament as one of the favourites the Strikers got off to a shakey start going down to the tough Cobras 5:3 in a nervous first game. Comprising of 9 and 10 year olds the boys took it to their older opponents matching it in every facet of the game. MELBOURNE FUTSAL LEAGUE PARTICIPATION FEES The Melbourne Futsal League is approaching the half way point of the season with our U'11, U'12 and U'15 teams all playing well and doing the club proud. A mid-season report on the MFL will be made available shortly on our website. However for the time being we have the house keeping duties of collecting the player participation fees. We had enormous success with 6 our of our teams making the semi-final and three teams making the final. We were by far the best performing club at the Championships which is an achievement all players, coaches and supporters should be extremely proud of.
